Frances Gallop Attends IBA Employment and Diversity Law Conference

Frances Gallop attended the International Bar Association’s Annual Employment and Diversity Law Conference in Paris from April 3-5, 2019. The conference covered cutting edge topics of interest to employers around the globe including communications in crisis situations, artificial intelligence bias and data transparency in the workplace, and practical strategies to appropriately handle gender transition issues in the workplace.

The program ended with an excellent panel discussion on preventing and managing harassment claims in the #MeToo Era. Frances reports that Philip Berkowitz and Inge de Laat did an excellent job of moderating the discussion, and extends her kudos to the panelists who acknowledged that the legal profession has a lot of work to do in this area.

It was an incredible opportunity to learn from and be inspired by lawyers from all over the globe.

Toronto Chapter of the Canadian Industrial Relations Association (CIRA) – A Fireside Chat with Bill Kaplan

Angela Rae will be interviewing preeminent arbitrator and author Bill Kaplan before a live audience at the inaugural event of the Toronto Chapter of the Canadian Industrial Relations Association (CIRA). Women’s Business Network of Peterborough’s Annual Member Trade Show & Workshops

Frances Gallop and Alexandra Jamieson will be presenting a workshop at the Women’s Business Network of Peterborough’s Annual Member Trade Show & Workshops event on March 6, 2019. The interactive workshop will focus on drugs and alcohol in the workplace and Frances and Alexandra will speak to employer rights and obligations, the use of drug and alcohol testing, and strategies for managing workplace social events. The event will take place at the Highland Park Reception Centre in Peterborough and will begin at 5:30 p.m.
