Frances represents and advises employers on all matters related to the workplace, including collective bargaining, collective agreement interpretation, arbitration and labour board proceedings, dismissals and wrongful dismissal claims, and human rights and workplace harassment. Frances’ professional achievements have been consistently recognized by clients and peers. She has been certified by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a Specialist in Labour Law for the past 20 years, received a 2017 Lexpert Zenith Award, is recognized in Who’s Who Legal as a leading practitioner in Labour and Employment Law and is on the Martindale-Hubbell List of Distinguished Peer Rated Lawyers.
Frances shares her considerable experience by delivering seminars and training for clients and other groups on topics related to the workplace such as performance and attendance management, workplace harassment, workplace accommodation and managing with a collective agreement. Frances is also a sought-after speaker at conferences on workplace legal issues, including those organized by the Law Society of Ontario and other educational and business organizations. She has been an expert guest on the CBC to discuss workplace legal issues.
Frances received her B.A. from Trent University and her LL.B. from the University of Windsor. She was called to the bar in 1985.
